Thursday Quoteables

Thank you Lisa for hosting this great meme!

Welcome to Thursday Quotables! This feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week.  Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written, Thursday Quotables is where my favorite lines will be, and you’re invited to join in!

Vampire Academy

This is a quote that really resonated with me. Back when I first read this book, I was involved with this guy. It was a very on and off relationship. I thought that if I just loved him enough and stayed patient that one day he would see how much he loved me. I was very wrong. It was a hard blow, but it was so worth it to move forward in life.

House Of Night

This is such a simple quote, but it holds such a deep meaning. The most evil being can put a mask on and pretend to be good. They can play victim when they are cornered. There are also people who look rough and evil that are some of the most kindest souls you will ever meet. They don’t try to prove who they are. They want their actions to speak for them.

Jane Eyre

This is a very progressive quote. Especially thinking of the way things were during that time frame. Women were little more than property. I think that’s why it sticks with me so well. It shows how powerful our thoughts and our will can truly be.

Princes Diaries

This is a very powerful quote. It really fit with the book as well. Mia’s biggest concern is always being afraid of something. Afraid to be herself. Afraid to love who she wanted to love. Afraid to speak her mind. In some ways, many of us can relate to the feelings she had.
