Sookie has been summoned by the Queen of Louisiana. She’s also been informed that her cousin has died the final death. So on top of Sookie being required to attend the event the Queen wants her at, she also has to clean out Hadley’s apartment and sort through everything. Hadley left everything to her.
I really enjoyed this story. This is one of my favorite series of all time. I did have a small problem with the constant references to Hadley’s death. Most of the time when this happens, it’s a reference from a previous book. However, it was not in any previous book to the best of my knowledge. Maybe there’s an in between book that covers it. I’d of loved to seen all the things that were referenced. That’s the only real issue I have with it.
Sookie has some moments in this book where she’s just not exactly very favorable. I also feel like she can get a little over the top about some things. I guess we all have that in us from time to time. I really like Quinn. I love that he’s quick tempered, but willing to at least give people the benefit of the doubt. He also has a conscious. Most of the guys Sookie hangs around can’t understand why she would be upset with them at all. They act like they do no wrong! Anyways, Quinn is definitely on my list of book boyfriends.
This book was narrated by Johanna Parker. She narrated the rest of the books as well. I was only intending to listen to a couple of books in the series and then read the rest, but she did such a great job that I’m thrilled to hear her narrated them all. Well At least up to this point. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get the rest of the series in audio right now. Either way, I’ve enjoyed her narration and plan to listen to more books narrated by her!
This is the sixth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I can’t believe I’ve already made it almost halfway through the series. It’s a reread for me, but I feel like I’m reading them all for the first time. I’m beginning to think that might be because I’m reading them in order for the firs time. Either way, I’m really enjoying them.
Thank you for Reading!
